Cultural Change Regarding Love

It’s good to challenge your own, limited point of view once in a while. Why would current western concepts and habits regarding love have universal normative status? Take kissing for instance. A couple kissing each other in front of others: no big deal. Or is it? In India this has long been regarded as too Western, as not being Indian enough.
