I’m curious how artists would react to this. It seems the author uses ‘greedy reductionism’ (D. Dennett) while interpreting evolutionary science. Dostojevski, Mozart, Shakespeare, Hemingway, Kandinsky, Pollock,…: the secret of their genius lies hidden in the algorithm of natural selection. That said: the article itself (paywall, sorry!) does raise some interesting questions!
