I noticed this interview with Judith Rich Harris, who wrote The Nurture Assumption. Without endorsing her book as the whole truth, and nothing but the truth (here's a balanced review), I must admit I liked the book when I read it a few years ago (in the Dutch edition).
More than the content itself, I liked the general idea of applying scientific insights on education. It inspired me to look for ways to eventually integrate my own research, on the relation between evolutionary explanations of religion (based on models of cultural evolution) and theology, into my work in education (particularly, but not exclusively, religious education). There is still an awful lot of work to do in that regard, but reading Harris's personal story gives me the strength to carry on. I hope it inspires you too!
